At Foundational Basketball Academy, we are committed to providing a holistic basketball education that goes beyond traditional skills training. Our goal is to equip student-athletes with the knowledge and skills they need to excel both on and off the court. Teaching and drilling Basketball IQ and “How To Play Instructions” will allow us to provide your child with a Higher Learning process. If you and your athlete make a commitment to Foundational Basketball Academy, your student-athlete will definitely receive results. When our goals are met, it will allow your student-athlete to play on both sides of the court, left and right, along with both sides of their body, enabling them to play in any offensive system or on any team successfully. Our approach is to create a foundation and build fundamentals you may not see locally.
Basketball's fundamentals include skills such as dribbling, shooting, passing, rebounding, and defense. These are essential techniques that every player needs to master to excel in the game. Additionally, understanding positioning, teamwork, and game strategy are also fundamental aspects of basketball.
We prioritize educating student-athletes on the game's nuances, enhancing their understanding of strategies, tactics, and decision-making. Each session is designed to provide new skills or knowledge, ensuring that every moment on the court is a learning opportunity.
If you don’t feel like you are getting an education (Basketball IQs) each time you step on the court, that type of training may need to be reevaluated. Not all training resources provide a Basketball IQ mental education (How To Play Instructions). FBA offers a different kind of basketball knowledge that Traditional Trainers DO NOT usually have or DO NOT have time to teach.
Our How to Play Instructions are geared towards building Basketball IQ. Have you ever noticed how the best players seem to know where the ball will be before it gets there? That is what allows players to predict what will happen next in the game and be at the right place at the right time. We will help you watch a film correctly, learn the most essential lessons from practice, and understand your team and rivals' systems. But most importantly, at the Foundational Basketball Academy, we use live simulations of game scenarios as the basis of our How To Play Instructions.
While we focus on mastering Shooting, Passing, and Dribbling—the foundational skills—our live “real-game situations” are instrumental to your athlete's development. Our training includes live simulations of game scenarios, enhancing players' in-game decision-making abilities while playing real basketball in a controlled environment
We work with beginners and intermediate players. Typically, intermediate players usually have at least two years of playing experience or are already playing recreational or middle school basketball. Our beginners normally fit right in depending on their level of skill. Beginners are typically players with a limited skill set and experience.
